Famous Masons in History

June 21, 1850 - June 11, 1941

Dan Beard was a painter, illustrator, and founder of the Boy Scouts of America in 1910. He formed "The Society of the Sons of Daniel Boone" which developed into "The Boy Pioneers" in 1905, which then became the Boy Scouts of America after he heard about the work of Baden Powell. His writings on the group appeared in Recreation, a magazine that he edited.

He was the Boy Scouts of America’s first National Commissioner and Chairman of the Court of Honor and was the author of 21 books on outdoor living and survival skills

Freemasonry and the Scout Movement

It may be surprising to many members of the Craft that there is any relationship between Masonry and Scouting. The one being for men and the other for our youth. However, the large number of male Scout Leaders, many of whom hold a similar attitude to life as do the Masons and possessing the same basic aims, the similarity can easily be recognized.

If the Purpose/Aims and Principles of Scouting were to be translated into adult terms, it can clearly be seen that they are nearly identical with those of the Craft. Because of this, many people have suggested that the Founder of Scouting, Lord Baden-Powell of Gilwell, was a Mason. It has been confirmed by his late wife, Lady Olave Baden-Powell, and also his daughter Betty, that he was not a member of the Craft.

His younger brother, Major David Baden-Powell, was a member of the Craft. Perhaps, this influenced his understanding of the aims of Masonry, as illustrated by his presentation of a Volume of the Sacred Law, personally inscribed and signed, to the Baden-Powell Lodge, No. 488, United Grand Lodge of Victoria, Australia. This was presented to note their Consecration in September 1930 by the then G. M., M .W. Bro. Lord Somers, who later succeeded Baden-Powell on his death in 1941, as the Chief Scout.

It is fascinating to analyze and compare the aims and ideals of the two "brotherhoods." The term "brother" is universal. Every boy who becomes a Scout is received into the "Worldwide Brotherhood of Scouting" upon accepting the Scout Promise. Thus the connection to man taking his Obligation being welcomed as a "Brother Mason." This also applies to the male adult Leaders who must also accept the Promise. A study of the wording reveals the conjoined significations:

A Scout
  • Promise a Duty to God
  • Accept Loyalty to the Queen
  • Help other people at all times
A Mason must
  • Believe in a Supreme Being
  • Obey the laws of God and Man
  • Extend Charity and Brotherly Love

Countless Scout Leaders have proven to strengthen the quality of life in our jurisdiction and indeed around the World as Scouters and as Masons. The Kindred Lodges Association is the inclusive title used by a group of Lodges around the World whose membership is largely composed of present and former Scout Leaders and similar Youth organizations. The origin dates back to 1952 at a gathering of Scouter/Masons held at Scout House in London, England. They proposed that a meeting of Lodges with a similar dual membership would be of great interest to all. Since the regular biannual meetings have been held some at Freemason's Hall, Great Queen St., London and throughout the U.K. The "host" Lodge prepares a programme, which has included 17th Century Degree Teams, Prestonian Lectures, Masonic Choirs & Orchestral Concerts, etc. In all usually over two hundred attend, with most in uniform and Masonic clothing.

Quite a colorful gathering.

The Association comprises Lodges around the World including 28 in England; 1 in Scotland; 1 in Ireland; 2 in Wales; 10 in Australia; 1 in New Zealand; 1 in Germany; and Scouter/Masonic Clubs in New York and in Canada. There are also many individual Scouter/Masons not with a "Youth" Lodges who are affiliated members. It is interesting to note that two Lodges within The Grand Lodge of Canada in The Province of Ontario - Spry Lodge No. 385 in Beeton and Spry Lodge No. 406 in Fenelon Falls are named after M. W. Bro. Daniel Spry, Grand Master 1882/1883, whose Grandson Major General Daniel C. Spry became the Chief Executive of Scouts Canada in 1946 and Director General of the World Bureau of Scouting in 1953. He was also the youngest General of the Canadian Army in World War II.

Lodge Baden-Powell U.G.L. of N.S.W.

A special cloth emblem, in limited numbers, has been produce by Lodge Baden-Powell, to commemorate the meeting held on January 4, 1988 for the Freemasons who attended the 16th World Jamboree in Cataract Scout Park.

The emblem features the Square and Compasses, the Scout emblem and depicts the Main Gateway at the entrance to Cataract Scout Park. The Gateway, constructed by The United Grand Lodge of New South Wales, serves as a reminder the Freemasonry is interesting in assisting today's youth to grow to responsible manhood and citizenship.

Our future is our bond with our Youth.

Boy Scouts of America Celebrates 100 Years

On February 8th, 2010, the organization, Boy Scouts of America, will be celebrating its 100th year anniversary. This is an incredible event for the premier organization for boys and young men. During my time in Scouts, I learned a great deal of skills that I have used in my adult life.

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, in my opinion, are in the best position to make good boys into better men. Boy Scouts is a great preparatory step into manhood. I loved my time as a Scout leading to the ultimate award, the Eagle Scout. Understanding the importance of Scouting on not only this country and its brightest minds but also the participating countries in the World Scouting Movement is essential to improve our young men. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't describe just how essential Girl Scouts of America is to improving the lives of young women. I have friends that are Gold Awardees and they have done many great and important things as well. Scouting has changed my life and I truly see many shared qualities between the Troop and the Lodge.

There is a modern convergence for Brothers that also serve as Scoutleaders. It's known as the National Association of Masonic Scouters. In Minnesota, the Grand Lodge recognized this organization just last year at the Annual Communication. There is also an award that Masonic Scouters are eligible for called the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award. Daniel Beard Carter was made a Master Mason in Mariner's Lodge No. 67 and later affiliated with Cornucopia Lodge No. 563. The Senior Deacon of my Lodge, Rick, was awarded the Award at the same Annual Communication that the Masonic Scouters organization was recognized.

Scouting also has its own "secret society" known as the Order of the Arrow. The only way to be eligible is to be voted on by the members of your Troop. The Order of the Arrow was created by E. Urner Goodman, who was a member of Robert A. Lamberton Lodge No. 487 in Pennsylvania. I am also a member of the Order of the Arrow and was very impressed by the work done by all the members. (Of course, that was many years ago. Now I feel old.)

In all, with this incredibly short account of Boy Scouts and their relationship to the Masonry has not done justice to everything that can be covered. It's also interesting to note that the man instrumental in bringing the Scouting Movement to America, William Boyce, was a Freemason and a Shriner. If you want more information, there is an article entitled "Freemasonry and Scouting" by Bro. Bainbridge at the Masonic Trowel. If you have a son or daughter, think seriously about having them join Scouts, it will change his or her life. Happy 100 years BSA, I hope for many more.

Ore. lawsuit claims Boy Scouts sex abuse coverup
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100319/D9EHLRE00.html

By WILLIAM McCALL

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Boy Scouts of America has long kept an extensive archive of secret documents that chronicle the sexual abuse of young boys by Scout leaders over the years.

The "perversion files," a nickname the Boy Scouts are said to have used for the documents, have rarely been seen by the public, but that could all change in the coming weeks in an Oregon courtroom.

The lawyer for a man who was molested in the 1980s by a Scout leader has obtained about 1,000 Boy Scouts sex files and is expected to release some of them at a trial that began Wednesday. The lawyer says the files show how the Boy Scouts have covered up abuse for decades.

The trial is significant because the files could offer a rare window into how the Boy Scouts have responded to sex abuse by Scout leaders. The only other time the documents are believed to have been presented at a trial was in the 1980s in Virginia.

At the start of the Oregon trial, attorney Kelly Clark recited the Boy Scout oath and the promise to obey Scout law to be "trustworthy. " Then he presented six boxes of documents that he said will show "how the Boy Scouts of America broke that oath."

He held up file folder after file folder he said contained reports of abuse from around the country, telling the jury the efforts to keep them secret may have actually set back efforts to prevent child abuse nationally.

"The Boy Scouts of America ignored clear warning signs that Boy Scouts were being abused," Clark said.

Charles Smith, attorney for the national Boy Scouts, said in his own opening statement the files were kept under wraps because they "were replete with confidential information. "

Smith told the jury the files helped national scouting leaders weed out sex offenders, especially repeat offenders who may have changed names or moved in order to join another local scouting organization.

"They were trying to do the right thing by trying to track these folks," Smith said.

Clark is seeking $14 million in damages on behalf of a 37-year-old man who was sexually molested in the early 1980s in Portland by an assistant Scoutmaster, Timur Dykes.

Clark said the victim suffered mental health problems, bad grades in school, drug use, anxiety, difficulty maintaining relationships and lost several jobs over the years because of the abuse.

Dykes was convicted three times between 1983 and 1994 of sexually abusing boys, most of them Scouts.

Although there have been dozens of lawsuits against the organization over sex abuse allegations, judges for the most part have either denied requests for the files or the lawsuits have been settled before they went to trial.

The Boy Scouts had fought to keep the files being used in the Portland trial confidential. But they lost a pretrial legal battle when the Oregon Supreme Court rejected their argument that opening the files could damage the lives and reputations of people not a party to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also named the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because the Mormons acted as a charter organization, or sponsor, for the local Boy Scouts troop that included the victim. But the church has settled its portion of the case.

The Portland trial comes as the Boy Scouts are marking their 100th anniversary.

"They spent a century building the Boy Scout brand," said Patrick Boyle, author of a book about sex abuse in the Boy Scouts. "It's one of the most respected organizations in the world."

The trial "can only erode what they have been doing for 100 years," he said.

The Portland case centers on whether the Boy Scouts of America did enough to protect boys from Dykes.

The Mormon bishop who also served as head of the Scout troop, Gordon McEwen, confronted Dykes after receiving a report of abuse by the mother of one boy in the troop in January 1983.

In a video deposition played for the jury, the bishop said Dykes admitted abusing 17 boys.

But McEwen said he contacted the parents of all 17 boys and the boys themselves, and none would confirm any abuse.

Dykes was arrested in 1983 and pleaded guilty to attempted sexual abuse, received probation and was ordered to stay away from children.

Clark told the jury Dykes continued with his scouting activities until he was arrested in July 1984 during a routine traffic stop while he was driving a van full of Scouts on camping trip.

A spokesman for the Boy Scouts of America at its headquarters in Irving, Texas, said in a statement the organization cannot comment on details of the case. But it has worked hard on awareness and prevention efforts, including background checks.

"Unfortunately, child abuse is a societal problem and there is no fail-safe method for screening out abusers," Deron Smith said.

The Masonic Music Industry Exposed

This first video is an overall look into the Masonic mind-control of Hollywood celebrities and fans, the methods and rituals used to indoctrinate and subjugate.

The next two clips come from the (so-far) 6 part series, "The Music Industry Exposed." This excellent series exposes many secrets of the Illuminati music industry in a way that may make you scoff "coincidence" at first but then slowly erodes that notion as the examples pile up, leaving you confronted with the stark reality of how controlled the mainstream music industry really is, from lyrics and subliminals to symbols and masonic rituals. The first two cilps are below and the rest of the highly recommended series can be viewed here: Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6

This final clip and series focuses on Jay-Z as he is one of the most blatant Masons in the music industry, constantly filling his songs/videos with their symbology. His "Roca"wear clothing, "Roc" Nation, and the "Rock" hand sign are all typical references to Masonry ("Stone" Masons) - The eye in the triangle hand-sign being the most obvious. His videos are littered with baphomet, sun god symbolism, Aleister Crowley and magick references, mock Masonic rituals, mind-control triggers and constantly flashing the number 3, showing he's a 3rd degree Master Mason. His 11th album is called "Blueprint 3" again referencing the first 3 degrees of Masonry known as the Blue degrees or the Blue lodge. The first clip is a great analysis of the symbolism used in his "On to the Next One" video. Be forewarned, that song is incredibly annoying and gets stuck in your head, but it's well worth watching so you can really see the propaganda at work. The second clip is the first part of an in-depth look at Jay-Z's Masonic affiliation. If you have the time, please watch the rest of the series here, "Jay-Z Exposed": Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

Did I Say El Nino, I Meant La Nina - Uhh, Who's On First Base?

by Mitch Battros - Earth Changes Media

Just when I thought this silly game of names was over, I receive yet another stupid low-level meteorological babble trying to explain recent extreme weather patterns.

This hilarious Abbott and Costello 1945 "who's on first base" comical skit (which I still gives me a good belly laugh) is an accurate depiction of this non-sense when meteorologist attempt to play solar-physicist. What we see in today's headlines is an exact replica of the 1997/1998 extreme weather shifts.

Abbott and Costello Skit - CLICK HERE

The following is a 1998 "True Story": Local weather personality: "Oh boy folks - looks like we have that nasty El Nino still hanging around causing havoc with our weather. But not to worry, it should pass in the next few weeks around the end of winter." Four Weeks Later: "Oh my, look at this nasty weather covering this whole region. Well folks, when I told you last week it was El Nino hanging around, what I meant to say is that it is a current La Nina causing all this trouble." Three Months Later: "Well folks, I'm not sure what name to give this current severe weather pattern; Hey, let's call it "La Cucaracha".

I was so amused by this comedic spectacle; I dedicated a whole chapter to this in my book 'Solar Rain'. And of course I had to title it: "El Nino, La Nina, La Cucaracha".

I must tell you, I am so grateful for what I witnessed in 1997/1998, that it did in fact spur me to begin my research into 'just what is the cause of El Nino, La Nina, and yes, La Cucaracha. In short, the answer is the Sun. And what you see below is exactly how it plays out. Yes, the Equation:

Equation: Sunspots => Solar Flares or CME's => Shifting Earth's Magnetic Field => Shifting Jet Stream => Shifting Ocean Currents => Extreme Weather and Human Disruption (Battros 1998)

For all those who are new to my research and still wonder who is this Mitch Battros? Allow me to share 'what', and perhaps even more important 'who' thinks of my research.

Below is the very latest scientific release trying once again to explain in more scientific terms what we now know as galactic charged particles, and its play on Earth's core.

- Shifting Jet Stream -

El Nino is characterized by an abnormal warming of sea surface temperatures in the equatorial central and eastern Pacific Ocean. This sea surface temperature change is accompanied by anomalous atmospheric circulation and convection changes around the globe. The 2010 El Nino reached maximum strength during January and February 2010.

- Shifting Ocean Currents -

The Microwave Limb Sounder instrument on NASA's Aura spacecraft observed a clear eastward shift of deep convection, indicated by large amounts of cloud ice in the upper troposphere. The enhancement of cloud ice from 13 kilometers (approximately 40,000 feet) and above is the greatest since Aura launched in July 2004.

Recent sea-level height data from the NASA/European Ocean Surface Topography Mission/Jason-2 oceanography satellite show that a large-scale, sustained weakening of trade winds in the western and central equatorial Pacific during late-January through February has triggered yet another strong, eastward-moving wave of warm water, known as a Kelvin wave. Now in the central and eastern equatorial Pacific, this warm wave appears as the large area of higher-than- normal sea surface heights (warmer-than- normal sea surface temperatures) between 150 degrees west and 100 degrees west longitude.

- Charged Particles -

A series of similar, weaker events that began in June 2009 initially triggered and has sustained the present El Nino condition. JPL oceanographer Bill Patzert says it's too soon to know for sure, but he would not be surprised if this latest and largest Kelvin wave is the "last hurrah" for this long-lasting El Nino.

- La Cucaracha -

Patzert explained, "Since June 2009, this El Nino has waxed and waned, impacting many global weather events. I, and many other scientists, expect the current El Nino to leave the stage sometime soon. What comes next is not yet clear, but a return to El Nino's dry sibling, La Nina, is certainly a possibility, though by no means a certainty. We'll be monitoring conditions closely over the coming weeks and months."

- Magnetic Field Shift -

An El Nino also causes unusual changes in atmospheric circulation and convection around the globe. JPL's Microwave Limb Sounder instrument on NASA's Aura spacecraft captured a large eastward shift of deep convection from the current El Nino, indicated by large amounts of cloud ice in the upper troposphere.

Private Army Sets Sights on Iceland

Source: The Reykjavík Grapevine

>

A private company offering military support has expressed interest in working with the Icelandic government. Many Icelanders are strongly opposed to the idea.

The company in question is known as ECA Program. They are a private company that works in military training and support for governments around the world, and have most recently worked with India. Their interest in Iceland is apparently strong enough to warrant the use of images from Keflavík – where the NATO base used to be located until it closed in 2006 – on their website. They have already asked the Icelandic government if they can utilize the base for their private air force, and are willing to pay 200 billion ISK to do so.

However, the Campaign Against Militarism – in Icelandic group originally founded in opposition to the NATO base – is strongly against the idea. They point out that the comany’s background is shrouded in mystery, and that they amount to a mercenary group. Furthermore, the company was denied operation permission in Canada.
