Archaeologists digging at a construction site have stumbled across an internationally important "ribbon" of stones dating back to the early Bronze Age. The serpent-shaped feature is thought to have been laid in around 2,000 BC and runs across an access road being built for a new industrial estate in Rotherwas, near Hereford. It is believed the find may have no parallels in Europe, with the closest similar site being the Serpent Mounds of the Ohio river valley in the USA.Link Title
