The Western world, from Australia to the United States, UK and parts of Europe, are moving in a unified front toward dictatorial Internet censorship. Australia has led the way, despite outcry from its populace, by "filtering" out certain banned content. In the United States, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, in continuing his family's tradition of oppressing free humanity, has pushed forward Cybersecurity legislation that has already passed the House. He has done so in the name of warding off ghastly cyber "attackers" conceivably fronting for al Qaeda while ushering in a means to restrict free speech and expression online for the general population.
With Obama's support, most of the developed world has accepted plans for government-approved online activity and Pentagon-monitored internet traffic. The U.S. and UK are facilitating the hijacking of what has, until now, been a highly-democratic Internet. Overall, it has been a technological God-send for bringing together communication and strongly expressing thought outside of the mainstream information available on television and in print.
Now, people are being forced onto the corporate-dominated Internet2 - once again, in the name of "security." (Internet) Freedom sacrificed at the same false alter of (Internet) Security. Independent blogs, news sites and online businesses will all be financially disadvantaged by access fees not demanded of dominant entities. What is today outside the 'norm' but well within free speech will tomorrow be evaluated by politically-correct criteria that will be used to identify sites to block and users to deny access.
Already, referrals to sites like Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com are being denied not only in Australia, but in places like New Zealand - who have not adopted the same policies, but do share ISPs who have ordered a block. All across the world, wherever internet "filtering" and outright censorship has been phased in - via libraries, businesses, airports, and so forth, sites that are critical of government are consistently blocked first. This has been true not only of Alex Jones' several websites, but also of sites like Wikileaks, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), Cryptome and etc, etc. The common theme is not operating outside of law or of speaking in extremities, but challenging the power establishment through distribution of information and/or shedding light on its otherwise little known unscrupulous activities.Internet Censorship Alert! AtlanteanConspiracy.com has already been censored for two years in most places in China. Myspace "accidentally" deleted my Sheeple Revolt site thrice now, and put AtlanteanConspiracy.com in their "phishing keywords." This coordinated effort to shut down the free web is an incredibly important issue, and I hope people send this article out to your email lists, facebooks, twitters, inform your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, the internet is really the last remaining bastion of free information we have. Don't let it die with a whimper. If your provider ever starts censoring anti-establishment websites, you must complain and threaten to change services until they stand up for the free web.
The US now has a list of Americans that the country can now murder abroad if they are fraternizing with terror groups. Paul Craig Roberts says that all of this points to a sign that the United States has become a police state.

I was chattin with a trucker yesterday who asked if I had noticed this anomoly about the Haiti Charity Campaign on TV and if I had noticed the 90999 number used to text messege a dontation? I told him yes I had and he then said his 18 year old son, who has an IQ of 152, said that it was a mirror of 666 and that it says GO-666 backwards.
Imagine that and what do ya bet that this Charity Fund is connected to the Bill Clinton/Bush Katrina Fund too?

I was watching the Colbert Report from a few a few days ago, And Kathleen Sebelius, (Guest on his show, Secretary of Health and Human Services), Told everyone to Donate to the American Red Cross for Haiti Relief through their Cell Phones. ($10 donation) While I respect the situation in Haiti, and feel for the people there, I have never really trusted the Red Cross. Too many nefarious connections, too many lost dollars, too many bad vibes...
Is Texting 'HAITI' to 90999 a Scam?
Update: 1/20/2010. As aftershocks continue to do damage in Haiti, help is still desperately needed. There's still some confusion on how to donate. Here's what you can do:
- Send a text with the word Haiti in the message. The recipient should be the five-digit number 90999. You should receive a confirmation response. Reply Yes. $10 will be added to your phone bill
- Log on to RedCross.org to make a donation online via credit or debit card (minimum $10) or find a Red Cross location near you.
Watch out for scams that ask you to send your credit card information over text message as well as web sites that prompt you to download software.
In the wake of the traumatic 7.0 earthquake that struck Haiti Tuesday evening, an outpouring of support has been heard across cyberspace. And thanks to developments in technology, donating to important and topical causes is easier than ever. But could a text of support really find you victimized by a scam?
Right now, there are two legitimate ways to donate to Haitian support and relief organizations:
- Text 'HAITI' to 90999: This service was set up by the U.S. State Department. Texting "HAITI" to the number will donate $10 to the International Red Cross, and will appear as a charge on your wireless bill.
- Text 'YELE' to 501501: This will donate $5 to Yele Haiti, a non-profit organization founded by singer and Haiti native Wyclef Jean. A donation to Yele will also appear as a charge on your cell bill. You can also donate larger amounts at Yele's website.
So far, these are the only two legitimate text-to-donate services providing support to Haiti relief, according to consumer watchdog groups. But others may be popping up to take advantage of Americans' generosity.
The Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission have issued statements warning possible donors to watch out for scams, which tend to pop up after a catastrophe.
The five-to-six digit numbers known as short-codes make it difficult to tell who is on the receiving end of a text. A legitimate charity will not ask you to send your personal information or credit card number through text message.
The devastating earthquake that struck Haiti, the western hemisphere's most impoverished nation, Tuesday hit 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital and largest city. Haiti's prime minister has issued a statement that hundreds of thousands may have perished in the quake.
