Congresswoman Introduces Bill To Ban Global Currency
In the wake of discussions of and hints at a move toward a new global currency, a Republican Congresswoman has introduced a resolution in the House “that would bar the dollar from being replaced by any foreign currency.”
On Wednesday, finance chiefs of five of the six-member, oil-rich Gulf Cooperation Council approved a proposal to create a monetary union as a move toward adopting a single currency, according to the AFP. The six Islamic states constituting the Gulf Cooperation Council are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Oman pulled out of the agreement last year. Five states in the compact have agreed to set 2010 as the target date for the creation of a monetary union and the adoption of common currency. The emergence of an Islamic single currency among these oil-rich Middle Eastern countries marks a significant step in the emerging worldwide movement to abandon national currencies in favor of regional currencies, along the model where the EU states have abandoned their national currencies in favor of the European Central Bank and the euro. In 2002, the finance ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states sought out the assistance of the European Central Bank, as the model for their single currency, according to BBC reports. The council was created in 1981 to promote the development of the member countries. The monetary union will entail the creation of a central bank to issue the single currency.
UN Panel Touts New Global Currency Plan A UN panel of expert economists pressed Thursday for a new global currency reserve scheme to replace the volatile, dollar-based system and for coordinated steps by rich countries to stimulate their economies. "A new Global Reserve System -- what may be viewed as a greatly expanded SDR (Special Drawing Rights), with regular or cyclically adjusted emissions calibrated to the size of reserve accumulations, could contribute to global stability, economic strength and global equity," the panel said. As part of several recommendations to tackle the global financial crisis, the panel also noted recovery would require all developed countries, in the short term, to take "strong, coordinated and effective actions to stimulate their economies." And it stressed the need to "lay the basis for the long-run reforms that will be necessary if we are to have a more stable and more prosperous global economy and avoid future global crises." The commission, led by US economist Joseph Stiglitz, a frequent critic of globalization and unbridled free markets, is primarily aimed at finding solutions for developing countries... This week, China's central bank chief Zhou Xiaochuan suggested the dollar could be replaced as a reserve currency by an International Monetary Fund (IMF) basket comprising dollars, euros, sterling and yen, saying it would not be easily influenced by individual countries.
In the run-up to next week’s G-20 summit in London, developing countries led by China and Russia are stepping up calls for the U.S. dollar to be pushed aside as the main global reserve currency. China’s central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, suggested this week that reforms to the international monetary system include the long-term goal of an international reserve currency not connected to an individual nation. China is the biggest holder of U.S. dollar assets and is concerned about the currency’s volatility. A few days earlier, the Russian government put forward among its G-20 summit priorities a proposal for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to explore the possibility of creating a “super reserve currency accepted by the whole of the international community.” Russia said the proposal had broad support among other emerging economic powers, including Brazil, India and South Korea.

The global geopolitical climate is changing rapidly and appears to be on the verge of a realignment. This has become more apparent since the start of the world financial crisis, which finds its roots in the U.S. economic downturn. So how would a new world order emerge? It seems that the global population would only be willing to accept the implementation of a new world order, in either form, in the event of a major global crisis, such as the complete economic collapse of the United States of America.
The world bourgeoisie is beginning to consider the consequences of the huge deficit spending and money-printing operations that the Obama administration is using to fund its bailouts of Wall Street and major banks. As these policies increasingly raise questions about the value of the US dollar, commentators are in particular pondering the desirability and implications of a diminished international role for the American currency. At his March 24 press conference, President Obama made his first public comment on recent Chinese proposals for an international currency overseen by the International Monetary Fund. Obama said: "As far as confidence in the US economy or the dollar, I would just point out that the dollar is extraordinarily strong right now. And the reason the dollar is strong right now is because investors consider the United States the strongest economy in the world, with the most stable political system in the world. So you don't have to take my word for it." Less than 24 hours later, Obama's comments were disavowed by his own treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner. In a panel yesterday morning at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Geithner praised Chinese central banker Zhou Xiaochuan as "thoughtful" and described Zhou's proposal for an international currency based on the International Monetary Fund's Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) as deserving "some consideration."
IMF managing director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said Wednesday that talks on a new world reserve currency to replace the US dollar were "legitimate" and could take place "in the coming months." China this week called for a replacement of the dollar, installed as the reserve currency after World War II, with a different standard run by the International Monetary Fund. "I think the discussion about a new currency is absolutely legitimate," Strauss-Kahn told journalists after meeting with members of the French parliament's finance commission. Such discussion could "probably take place in the coming months," he said. US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner earlier defended the dollar as a key global reserve currency in Washington. "I think the dollar remains the world's standard reserve currency, I think that's likely to continue for a long period of time," he said. People's Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan this week suggested the IMF's Special Drawing Rights, a currency basket comprising dollars, euros, sterling and yen, could serve as a super-sovereign reserve currency, saying it would not be easily influenced by the policies of individual countries.

John Major famously said chatter about a European currency had "all the quaintness of a rain-dance and about the same potency". Yet once officialdom began assembling the machinery for monetary union, EMU acquired a life of its own.

A top constitutional scholar has said that recently released Justice Department memos prove that nefarious elements within the Bush Administration were planning a massive military takeover of the country and that the documents should be used to bring charges of treason. In an interview with author Naomi Wolf, legal expert Michael Ratner explains how the move toward total elimination of First, Fourth and Fifth amendment rights, as outlined in the memos, cannot be taken in isolated relation to terrorism related prosecutions and instead represents a smoking gun of a larger intention toward the general population. “The memos revealed how massive the takeover of our democracy was to be — that this wasn’t just going to be a few individuals here or there who suffered the arrows of a police state.” Ratner says. “These memos lay the groundwork for a massive military takeover of the United States in cahoots with the president. And if that’s not a coup d’etat then, nothing is.” The nine DOJ memos, released earlier this month, were mostly written by former assistant attorney general John Yoo. They reveal how the rights of all American citizens have been effectively stripped away under the auspices of the so called “war on terror”.

But the rest should be lynched! In the last two years, in several articles, I drew your attention to the fraudulent securities that have been peddled by the global banks and how they have caused the present grid-lock in the global financial system. In essence, these securities – MBS, CDOs, CLOs, etc. were all fraudulent papers. Whatever mortgages underlying these papers, were over-valued and now they have shown to be worth at the most 10 to 20 cents on the dollar.

FARGO, North Dakota (CNN) -- Fifteen helicopters from the U.S. Northern Command along with active-duty military personnel are being sent to Fargo, North Dakota, to assist the state as it prepares for record flooding, a U.S. military official told CNN.
Valley Water Rescue volunteers patrol the Fargo area in search of people who need help evacuating Friday.
The military personnel being sent to Fargo are from a "contingency response force" made up of active-duty troops, the official said.
Above-freezing temperatures, followed by heavy rains this week, caused the Red River to swell and surpass its 1897 record of 40.1 feet early Friday morning.
The swollen river threatened to rise further as the city's mayor vowed to "go down swinging.
"Right now, we think the river is beginning to crest," said Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker. "As long as we stay under 42 feet, I think we got a chance; if we go over 42, there's going to be some more evacuations."
As of 8:15 p.m., the river churned at 40.78 feet, nearly 22 feet above flood stage and almost a foot above the previous record of 40.1 feet, set in 1897.

Sandbagging operations, which have churned furiously throughout the week, continued Friday, drawing praise from local and state officials, including North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven.
"North Dakotans have come together in a big, big way. Our volunteers are doing a magnificent job building this flood protection and we want to say thank you to them," he said. "There's a sense of perseverance and resolve and determination."

CNN Journalist Arrested In Fargo
FARGO, N.D. — A CNN journalist and seven other people have been arrested for standing on top of sandbag levees in the Fargo area.
Fargo Police Sgt. Ross Renner didn't have many details of the journalist's arrest, but said the man appeared to be taking pictures at the time.
He says officers made the arrests Wednesday and Thursday after seeing people climb on the dikes. Renner says police will arrest anyone they see on top of a dike out of concern for people's safety and the integrity of the levees. He says it's likely all those arrested have been released.
A CNN spokesman says the cameraman had been shooting video and was unaware of any restrictions on climbing the dikes. The journalist was released on bail.

The head of the Missouri Department of Public Safety has apologized to U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and two other former presidential candidates for a state law enforcement report linking militia groups to the candidates. State officials killed the report late Wednesday.
State Highway Patrol Superintendent James Keathley said, "Law enforcement officers require intelligence of the highest quality and the report in question does not meet that standard. For that reason, I have ordered (the agency) to permanently cease distribution of the report."
Keathley ordered a new process for overseeing intelligence reports, requiring the superintendent and director to review the content before they are sent to department.

The House passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act on Monday. The bill includes language indicating young people will be forced to participate in mandatory national service programs. The bill also states that "service learning" will be a mandatory part of the youth curriculum. That doesn't sound much like "volunteerism" does it? The Hitler Youth Plan was just passed by the US House this week. The mandatory youth plan requires America's youth to participate in mandatory service youth programs. But that's not all. God is not going to intervene to prevent humanity from wreaking disastrous damage to the environment, the Archbishop of Canterbury warned last night as he called for a 'radical change of heart' to prevent runaway climate change. Dr Rowan Williams said there needed to be a 'conversion' by humanity away from selfishness and greed that leads us to turn a 'blind eye' to the destruction of the environment and to our interdependence with the natural world. He warned in a lecture at York Minster that God would not guarantee a 'happy ending' and as just as God gave us free will to do 'immeasurable damage' to ourselves as individuals it seemed 'clear' that we had the same 'terrible freedom' as a human race. 'I think that to suggest that God might intervene to protect us from the corporate folly of our practices is as unchristian and unbiblical as to suggest that he protects us from the results of our individual folly or sin,' he said.
The Apocryphal books of Enoch, 2 Esdras, Genesis Aprocryphon and Jasher support the Genesis story, adding that the sin of the angels grew to include genetic modification of animals as well as humans. A recent report issued through the Missouri State Highway Patrol is stirring alarm among citizens and some elected officials that Christians, political conservatives, and opponents of unconstitutional government action are being targeted for intimidation and harassment — or worse. The drafters of the report clearly are attempting to create in the minds of law-enforcement personnel an association between violent “right-wing extremists” and the millions of law-abiding Americans who oppose gun control, the United Nations, the Federal Reserve System, the income tax, illegal immigration, and abortion. The eight-page report entitled “The Modern Militia Movement” and dated February 20 also specifically mentions by name Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), who ran for president in the 2008 Republican Party primaries, and third-party candidates Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin. The clear implication is that people sporting bumper stickers or literature related to these candidates should be viewed as potential threats that view all law enforcement as “the enemy.”
The Obama administration has ordered an end to use of the phrase "Global War on Terror," a label adopted by the Bush administration shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday. In a memo sent this week from the Defense Department's office of security to Pentagon staffers, members were told, "this administration prefers to avoid using the term 'Long War' or 'Global War on Terror' [GWOT.] Please use 'Overseas Contingency Operation.'" A spokesman for the Office of Management and Budget, from whom the direction reportedly came, told the Post there was no guidance given from the agency and that it was merely the "opinion of a career civil servant." A Pentagon spokesman said there was no memo or specific directive instructing officials to stop using the 'Global War on Terror' phrase but acknowledged that the department has officially adopted 'Overseas Contingency Operation' as the new term for the war. The Obama administration's rhetoric has paralleled this idea, having used the "Global Contingency Operation" phrase for a month prior to the e-mail being sent.
Bank of China Ltd., the world’s third-largest lender by market value, received initial government approval for its delayed 236 million-euro ($322 million) investment in La Compagnie Financiere Edmond De Rothschild, two people with knowledge of the matter said. The purchase of a 20 percent stake in the Paris-based asset manager was endorsed by China’s State Council ahead of an April 1 deadline, the people said, declining to be identified because the matter is private. Bank of China expects to get a response from the government “very soon,” President Li Lihui said today. Bank of China was forced to extend an original Dec. 31 deadline for the deal, announced in September, after failing to get state approval. Those infections haven't spawned many symptoms, but on April 1st a master computer is scheduled to gain control of these "zombie" machines, said Don DeBolt, Director of Threat Research for CA, a New York-based IT and software company. What happens on April Fool's Day is anyone's guess. The program could delete all of the files on a person's computer, use zombie PCs - - those controlled by a master - - to overwhelm and shut down specific websites or monitor a person's keyboard strokes to collect private information like passwords or bank account information, experts said. More likely, though, said DeBolt, the virus may try to get computer users to buy fake software or spend money on other phony products...
Three families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 terrorist attacks head to court today to plead with a federal judge to release a million pages of documents detailing the mass murder of nearly 3,000 Americans. Those secret papers, one Bay State family member told the Herald, are “so bad you won’t believe it.” “It was out control,” Paul Keating, 45, said of security on Sept. 11, 2001, including at Logan International Airport in Boston where two ill-fated jets left on a collision course with infamy. “My mother went through the most public murder you could imagine . . . and I’ve been putting up with this crap for seven years,” Keating said of his refusal to settle his case out of court. Keating’s 72-year-old mother, Barbara, a Framingham native, died aboard American Airlines [AMR] Flight 11. Keating is making legal history today, along with the families of Mark Bavis, 31, and Sara Low, 28, by asking Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein in Federal District Court in Manhattan to lift the order keeping all the evidence hidden.
North Carolina will build a $56 million emergency nerve center in West Raleigh to coordinate the state's response to hurricanes, floods, terrorist attacks and other disasters. The new building will serve as headquarters for the N.C. National Guard. But it will also house the state Division of Emergency Management, the regional communications center for the Highway Patrol and other state agencies. The center is among the first major public works projects in North Carolina mainly funded by the federal stimulus package, which is designed to jump-start the ailing economy. About $41.5million of the project's cost will be paid with federal stimulus money, and the rest will come from the state. "This project is a big win for North Carolina," Gov. Beverly Perdue said in a statement. "It provides a state of the art facility that will better coordinate key state services and is ready to put people to work in much needed jobs." The 237,000-square-foot facility will be the state command center where governors and state and federal disaster officials can oversee emergency relief efforts. Among other things, the new center will have a wall projecting TV-camera views of highway congestion across the state, enabling officials to respond more rapidly to severe traffic tie-ups such as the one that occurred on Interstate 85 near Charlotte during an early March snowstorm.

I have been showing off my art work of Barack obama as Akhenaten to see what people think. Admittedly, most of my friends already see the world differently than your average citizen. Let's just say they already come with a conspiracy bent. My hope is to instill wonder in our world and to say that things just might be a little stranger than you thought.
I would show my friends this picture and say, "What do you think?" Without any other comment.
They would say, "Well, he does look a lot like Akhenaten."
My jaw would dangle just a bit.
I say, "OK, I understand that you do not know that this woman next to Barackhenaten is Akhenaten's mother, Queen Tiye."
"That's really her face?" They ask.
I say, "I have done nothing to alter their faces. I simply found a photo that was facing the right direction and their mouth was closed. I cut the face in half and super-imposed it on the ancient busts."
"That is amazing!"
"It gets even stranger." I say, "I found that Akhenaten had two daughters from Queen Nefertiti...
I wait for it.
"They do look like Akhenaten's children!"

As a kid my mind was open to such possibilities. As I studied the pyramids and ancient astronauts, I knew mummification had a mysterious property that we in the, then, 20th century could not reproduce. Our new mummies decompose. The ancient Egyptian mummies did not. I knew this allowed for the retrieval of a viable cell for cloning and I pondered if there would be some day when "they" would bring back the Pharaohs. I was thinking of some Armageddon script when the dead would walk the Earth. What I never thought of was, the clones coming out as the first family of America!

Every respectable monotheistic religion needs an adversary/satan and Akhenaten's cult of Aten is no different. My investigation of obama began with his coupling of NASA with the DOD. The Columbia Endeavour for the Discovery of Atlantis is coming to a close and is being replaced by the Ares Space Program, Ares being the god of war.
China's successful test of an anti-satellite missile in January 2007 signaled a potential new arms race in space. Barack obama does not support the stationing of any weapons in space. He believes the international community must address the issue of space weaponization head-on and enter into a serious dialogue with Russia, China and other nations to stop this slow slide into a new battlefield.
Few realize that we have a United States Space Force and that it is housed in Cheyenne Mountain with NORAD and the Missile Defense Shield. It was the shield that concerned me most when I made my film on HAARP. In this film, I highlighted a report of an asteroid that came over the HAARP facility as it was being tested as a meteor deflection shield. I considered, could they have the ability to hurl meteors at the planet? The perfect approach of the object over the HAARP antennae array suggested guidance. I knew this was something to document because of Wernher von Braun's "Enemy List" establishing asteroids as the next false-flag event.
It was no ordinary meteor that shot over the HAARP array. It came in with a sonic boom and was followed by an earthquake in Anchorage. The event of meteors with sonic booms has been increasing and the curious note is that each time the incoming object is unknown. There is a bright flash that turns night to day and then a sonic boom followed shortly by an earthquake. This happened in Tok Alaska on December 29th. There were more than 250 tremors in Yellowstone that same day. Robert Smith, a professor of geophysics at the University of Utah said of these tremors, "They're certainly not normal,"
It turns out that obama's election was heralded by a meteor coming in over Canada on November 20th. Some suggest this is a sign of Barack being the Anti-Christ. He is helped by Mabus after all.
I see things a little differently, however. Not many people noticed the asteroid that nearly hit the planet last Monday, March 2nd. It came closer to Earth than the moon's orbit. The space ball measured between 69 feet and 154 feet in diameter. The Planetary Society said that made it the same size as an asteroid that exploded over Siberia in 1908 and leveled more than 800 square miles of forest. The asteroid was only spotted two days before buzzing Earth. It is now being said that this asteroid threat should be solved "through broad international cooperation" within the framework of the United Nations. The meteor that is of concern comes from a group of Near Earth Objects known as Aten and the bringer of doom in this Group of Aten…Apophis.

Terri Schiavo was "the first celebrity posthuman," but posthumanism is coming for all of us, according to a group of science fiction writers who met to discuss the future of identity and media. Writer Chris Nakashima-Brown just got back from a three-day colloquium on "parallel worlds" in Mexico, with Bruce Sterling, Linda Nagata, Mark Dery, Christopher Priest and M. John Harrison. Nakashima-Brown posted a tantalizing collection of soundbites about the Singularity, the economy and our posthuman future. Among the choicest are Christopher Priest's claim that only speculative fiction novels really put the individual's choices at the center of the story: "Only in the modern speculative novel is responsibility the core, the argument, the message." Bruce Sterling argues that celebrities, athletes and models will be the leading edge of posthumanism, but then he also says, "In the future, the poor will not be able to avoid becoming posthuman, because they just can't afford it."
Scientists in Birmingham have grown a living human ‘brain’. The team at Aston University created tiny bundles of cells which act like a mini nervous system. They believe it could help find a cure for degenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s, motor neurone or Parkinson’s disease. Professor Michael Coleman is leading the research. He explained: “We are aiming to be able to study the human brain at the most basic level, using an actual living human cellular system. “Cells have to be alive and operating efficiently to enable us to really understand how the brain works.” The experiment involves altering cells from a cancer tumour and making them behave like brain cells. Although far from finished, scientists hope the fake brain cells will give them a greater understanding of how real brains work.
The smooth cartilage that covers the ends of long bones provides a level of lubrication that artificial alternatives haven't been able to rival – until now. Researchers say their lubricating layers of "molecular brushes" can outperform nature under the highest pressures encountered within joints, with potentially important implications for joint replacement surgery. With every step we take, bones at the knee and hip rub against each other. That would quickly wear them away if it wasn't for the protection afforded by the thick layer of smooth and slippery cartilage that covers their ends. No amount of polishing can remove all of the small imperfections from the stainless steel used in artificial joints. Any raised areas that are left grind against each other and release debris particles that soften the bone, explains Jacob Klein at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Like bone, artificial joints must be covered with a cartilage-like layer. However, while it's possible to match cartilage's slick properties at low pressure, at the high pressures found in joints synthetic alternatives "seize up".
Cambridge University geneticist Aubrey de Grey has famously stated, “The first person to live to be 1,000 years old is certainly alive today …whether they realize it or not, barring accidents and suicide, most people now 40 years or younger can expect to live for centuries.” Perhaps de Gray is way too optimistic, but plenty of others have joined the search for a virtual fountain of youth. In fact, a growing number of scientists, doctors, geneticists and nanotech experts—many with impeccable academic credentials—are insisting that there is no hard reason why ageing can’t be dramatically slowed or prevented altogether. Not only is it theoretically possible, they argue, but a scientifically achievable goal that can and should be reached in time to benefit those alive today. “I am working on immortality,” says Michael Rose, a professor of evolutionary biology at the University of California, Irvine, who has achieved breakthrough results extending the lives of fruit flies. “Twenty years ago the idea of postponing aging, let alone reversing it, was weird and off-the-wall. Today there are good reasons for thinking it is fundamentally possible.”
Unlimited Appetite: More Pressure from "The Scientists" for Feds to Fund Embryo Creation and Destruction for Use in Research The appetite from some sectors of the biotechnology community for funding and ethical license, is never satiated. Why is it ethically unacceptable? Nature doesn't say. And why should anyone believe that embryonic stem cells are "all" that "the scientists" are interested in? I mean, why would anyone believe this platitudinous assurance, when the "leftovers only" promise proved so patently false? Indeed, some studies indicate that germ stem cells, that develop at about 6 weeks, might be better than embryonic stem cells. We have already seen calls for using fetuses as sources of organs and fetal farming, which would be even more pronounced if cloning were added to the mix to do away with the immune rejection issue. Beyond that, imagine the potential for testing drugs in fetuses,particularly fetuses genetically engineered to have certain medical maladies. Anyone who thinks that embryonic stem cells are the ultimate goal of all of this just hasn't been paying attention. Here's the bottom line: Now that Big Biotech and its supporters in Big Science and the MSM believe they are in the driver's seat with regard to ESCR, they are intent on pushing the boundaries to the next of many stages--federal funding for the creation and destruction of custom made embryos, including via cloning. But of course, that was the plan all along.
Apparently, President Obama is considering appointing Michael Taylor to head the new Food Safety Working Group. Who's Michael Taylor? From Food Politics: Mr. Taylor is a lawyer who began his revolving door adventures as counsel to FDA. He then moved to King & Spalding, a private-sector law firm representing Monsanto, a leading agricultural biotechnology company. In 1991 he returned to the FDA as Deputy Commissioner for Policy, where he was part of the team that issued the agency's decidedly industry-friendly policy on food biotechnology and that approved the use of Monsanto's genetically engineered growth hormone in dairy cows. His questionable role in these decisions led to an investigation by the federal General Accounting Office, which eventually exonerated him of all conflict-of-interest charges. In 1994, Mr. Taylor moved to USDA to become administrator of its Food Safety and Inspection Service... After another stint in private legal practice with King & Spalding, Mr. Taylor again joined Monsanto as Vice President for Public Policy in 1998. The man has moved in and out of roles at the federal government and Monsanto so many times he probably has whiplash. So what's the big deal? (I'm not going to opine on Monsanto here, other than to say that I know quite a few people who think Monsanto is the most evil corporation in the world, and that's even after this AIG debacle.)
