Obama Removes Agenda Items from Change Gov

Obama Website Scrubs Mandatory Community Service Call
Despite screenshots proving stronger language was memory-holed, Obama supporters dismiss story as hoax

Following a controversy over language that appeared on Barack Obama's official website suggesting that Americans would be mandated to complete up to 100 hours of community service as part of a national service program, the original text has been memory-holed and replaced with a more sanitized version.

Think of it this way... whether it's conscripts for war or national service, having millions of people off the relief roles and getting a government check (they'll have to pay them something, of course) obscures the true unemployment picture. And millions of people in the national service will also serve to lessen competition for scarce jobs. I think this is part of the calculus of how to deal with the coming depression. It differs very little from the calculus of the 1930s.. It was wrong then, of course, but the politicians know that Roosevelt was elected four times by Boobus Americanus, and 99% of them care only about their own immediate future.
Either our rulers are completely stupid and blind, or they know full well what is happening to the economy. I think the latter. They have no clue how to fix the problems, of course. They know that civil unrest is a real possibility, so they prepare by making it easier for the President to declare martial law. They repeal Posse Comitatus. They ratchet up their domestic surveilance activities.
I don't know if Obama was really CFR candidate A, but I do know that some of the neocons are starting to gush over him now. This may be a desperate ploy on their part, to continue to influence American foreign policy and protect Israel. Maybe they cut a deal with him when they realized that McCain never had a chance. Politics is the game of consumate con artists, and I wouldn't put anything past them.
