Americans have been led to believe that new French President Nicolas Sarkozy is a conservative, someone that constitutionally minded Americans can do business with. That's a lie, if one defines "conservative" as someone who defends the sovereignty of nation states under their unique national constitutions. In contrast, Sarkozy is an international socialist. Proof of that comes from his speech to the UN General Assembly on September 25. Taking the podium at the world body, Sarkozy called for equal distribution of profits — administered, of course, by the UN — as well as UN-administered access to water, energy, food, and knowledge.
