NWO 'BROKEN ARROW' BLUNDER UPDATE: 1 investigation isn`t going to be enough.
The Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, announced today that an outside investigation will take place for the August incident where a B-52 bomber from the Minot Air Force Base was mistakenly armed with six nuclear warheads and flown for hours over the country.
An Air Force investigation is under way, but Gates has asked for an outside inquiry by a retired general who once commanded the strategic bomber fleet.
Former Air Force chief of staff Larry Welch will review the incident.
A spokesman for Gates says this new review does not reflect any dissatisfaction with the way the Air Force is conducting its investigation.
Air Force officials say the service intends to release the results of its investigation to the public.
