Airman Killed in Training Accident

A training accident killed an airman at Minot Air Force Base this morning. An Air Force spokesperson says the airman was with the 17th Munitions Squadron and was hit in the head by a training missile. The accident happened about midnight and the victim more>>
Personnel from Minot Air Force Base and Canadian Forces Base Shilo at Brandon, Manitoba, are taking part in a training exercise in the Minot area. Minot base spokeswoman Laurie Arellano says the planes involved will be flying at normal heights, and no live munitions will be used. The training is planned for Tuesday and Wednesday. Twenty-seven members of Minot Air Force Base`s 5th Bomb Wing and six members of the Canadian base are to take part.
