SAN MARCOS -- The results are in: The carcass of an ugly, hairless, big-eared animal found this summer in Cuero is not the mythical bloodsucking El chupacabras. It's just a plain old coyote.
"The DNA sequence is a virtually identical match to DNA from the coyote (Canis latrans)," according to a written statement from Texas State University biologist Mike Forstner.
