Dogan News Agency filmed the Pesmerge camps...
While Turkey is guarding strategic locations within its own
boundaries to prevent thePKK from crossing into it, theNational
Guard and Pesmerges were located on strategic points and hills
overlooking the border on the northern Iraq side as well.
The National Guards are on 24 hours guard duty at military
posts and the Pesmerges are on the hills overlooking the border.
Soldiers on both sides can easily see each other.
The Kurdish National Guard of the Iraqi government said they
continue their regular border guard duty and they don't want
a war. The guards that spoke to Dogan News Agency statedthat
they are authorized to intervene immediately in caseof any border breach, no matter who it is.
