Authorities dismiss theories that Fossett, missing 11 days, wanted to vanish ...
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities investigating the mysterious disappearance of millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett said Thursday they've ruled out some of the more unlikely explanations for why they haven't found his plane, including the possibility he wanted to vanish.

No trace has been found of his single-engine plane despite a small air force that has scoured the canyons and hillsides along the Sierra Nevada's eastern front for 11 days, raising the prospect that he's just not there.

Rich, famous and apparently happy in his pursuits of adventure, Fossett had been flying on a scouting mission for a dry lake bed to attempt to break the land speed record.

A mysterious book of cryptic prophecies has

been discovered at the National Library in

Rome, and there is evidence to suggest

that it is the final work of the most

famous and controversial prophet in the

history of the world, Nostradamus.

Even more startling than the

discovery of the book, though,

are the warnings it contains, which

were so blasphemous and frightening

in their time that they may have been

intentionally suppressed until now.

NWO FALSE FLAG TERROR UPDATE: DHS 'Dry Run' Nuclear Support Cited

In the weeks before key government tests of new radiation detection equipment,
officials at the Department of Homeland Security helped contractors through repeated dry runs that enabled them to perform better during the examinations, according to government briefing documents obtained by The Washington Post.

Congress has been awaiting the test results before deciding whether to move forward on a troubled $1.2 billion counterterrorism effort to deploy the machines at ports and border crossings to screen trucks, cars and cargo carriers for nuclear devices.

The project, a leading national security initiative, has been delayed for months over concerns that department officials earlier misled Congress about the effectiveness of the devices, known as Advanced Spectroscopic Portals, or ASPs.

Now the Government Accountability Office is telling lawmakers that the new test results cannot be relied on because the department's Domestic Nuclear Detection Office allowed contractors to "collect test data" about the kinds of radioactive materials they would be screening and then to "adjust their systems accordingly" for the actual tests in February and March, according to confidential briefing documents prepared by the GAO.

DHS Announces Additional Grant Awards for Radiological/Nuclear Detection in the Southeast Transportation Corridor...

WASHINGTON– The U.S. Department of Homeland Security awarded $3.7 million in funds and non-monetary support today to Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina and the District of Columbia as part of the department’s continuing Southeast Transportation Corridor Pilot (SETCP) program. The SETCP program will deploy radiation detection systems at interstate weigh stations throughout the Southeast Corridor to detect and interdict illicit nuclear and radiological materials on the nation’s interstate highways.

“The Southeast Corridor carries some of the largest concentrations of truck traffic throughout the United States,” said Vayl S. Oxford, director of the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. “Through the deployment of new technology and integrated training, we are able to enhance our overall capabilities in a collaborative effort with our partners at the state and local level.”

The department’s Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) is implementing the pilot program that will develop and demonstrate a regional concept of operations, including alarm resolution protocols, and enhance regional communication infrastructure and collaboration for information exchange. The SETCP program will include training and exercises for state and local participants.

The soil around the hole appeared to be scorched and there was a "strange odour", a local health department official, Jorge López, told Peru's RPP radio.
Later the farmers complained of headaches and vomiting. Police who went to investigate the crater were also stricken with nausea, prompting authorities to dispatch a medical team that reached the site today.

"The odour is strong and it's affecting nearby communities. There are 500 families close by and they have had symptoms of nausea, vomiting, digestive problems and general sickness," said Mr López.

At least 12 people were treated in addition to seven police officers who required oxygen masks and rehydration.

The farmers expressed fears that what appeared to be chunks of lead and silver around the site could contaminate the soil.

A member of the National Academy of Sciences, Modesto Montoya, told the state press agency that a fallen meteorite did not present any danger unless it hit some structure on impact.

"None of the meteorites that fall in Peru and make perforations of varied sizes are harmful for people, unless they fall on a house," he said. Another meteorite fell to Earth in Arequipa province in June.

A meteorite has struck a remote part of Peru and carved a large crater that is emitting noxious odours and making villagers ill, according to local press reports.
A fireball streaked across the Andean sky late on Saturday night and crashed into a field near Carancas, a sparsely populated highland wilderness near Lake Titicaca on the border with Bolivia, witnesses said.

The orange streak and loud bang were initially thought to be a plane crashing. When farmers went to investigate, however, they found a crater at least 10m wide and 5m deep, but no sign of wreckage.
