Travis Walton was with some logger buddies when they came across a strange craft in the forest. Walton approached it and was thrown into the air by some force from the craft. His friends panicked and drove away.

They came back to find him, but Walton and the UFO were no where to be found. The event was well documented and is one of the best cases for the evidence of the phenomena.

A hit movie titled "Fire in the Sky" was made based on this event. In this interview Travis discusses what he experienced apparently aboard a spaceship.

This was part of my TV show, Phenomena Television, and was filmed at the UFO Congress in Laughlin, Nevada.

The Abduction

On November 5th, 1975, one of the more persistently controversial UFO events in history took place in northeastern Arizona. A work team consisting of seven individuals reported encountering a reflective, luminous object the shape of a flattened disc hovering close to their truck on a remote dirt road in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. According to the crew, one of their members, Travis Walton, exited the truck and approached the object on foot, at which time he was allegedly struck by a brilliant bluish light or flash and hurled to the ground some distance away. In fear, the other crew members fled the scene, returning after a short period of time to find no trace of the UFO, or of Walton.
'

The driver of the truck was Mike Rogers, the crew foreman and a personal friend of Walton's. While fleeing the scene, Rogers reported looking back and seeing a luminous object lift out of the forest and speed rapidly toward the horizon. He, along with the other five witnesses, would eventually be subjected to polygraph (lie detection) examinations regarding the event, the successful outcomes of which catapulted the case into the national spotlight.

Walton turned up five days later, confused and distraught but with fleeting memories of alien and exotic human entities. He was also subsequently subjected to a number of controversial polygraph examinations.

As the first seriously investigated UFO event to involve the disappearance of an individual in conjunction with a UFO sighting, the Walton incident put the honesty of UFO claimants, as well as the validity of lie detection evidence, squarely in the spotlight. A total of thirteen polygraph examinations have been conducted in association with the case, tests which have been the subject of considerable discussion and acrimonious debate.

Did Magnetic Flux Trigger Mass Extinction?

from Mitch Battros - Earth Changes Media

A new released theory suggests the Permian-Triassic mass extinction was set in motion 15 million years earlier, deep in the Earth. On the edge of the molten outer core, a plume of super-hot material began rising through the mantle, upsetting convection in the core and throwing the planet's magnetic field into disarray. It was a dying on a scale never seen before or since on Earth.

The weakening of Earth's magnetic field exposed the surface to a shower of cosmic radiation, says Yukio Isozaki of the University of Tokyo. He believes the radiation broke nitrogen in the atmosphere into ions that acted as seeds for clouds enshrouding the planet.

The fertile ocean and balmy supercontinent Pangea was transformed into killing fields, littered with the bodies of ancient animals. By the time the dust had settled on the Permian-Triassic mass extinction 250 million years ago, 90 percent of life on the planet had been snuffed out.

The superplume of magma rising through the mantle disrupted the magnetic field and put a strain on creatures living on the surface, but it was only the beginning. Five million years later it reached the surface, Isozaki said, and the hot material punched through the crust, erupting as three successive supervolcanoes.

Could a Designer Virus Turn You Into a Monster?

Could a Virus Rewrite Your DNA?

But what about the genetics claim in "The Transformation," that the virus mutates the host's DNA to change its host into monsters? There is a speck of real science in there, says Harvard University virologist Donald Coen. Retroviruses, the class that includes HIV, use the DNA in their host cell to replicate, then leave behind their genetic information in the host. "There are lots of examples in animals," he says. And Coen says it is possible to manipulate retroviruses. Some scientists hope to use them as a vehicle to get genetic material into cells, he says, by piggybacking the useful material onto the virus and then allowing the virus to copy its genetic material into the cell.

However, that kind of research is in early stages, Coen says. And though Peter Bishop says during "The Transformation" that a person would need to know cutting-edge genetics to create the killer virus, Coen says the Fringe scenario is far past the real capabilities of current genetic engineering—no virus could rewrite your entire genetic code.

Finally, this week, Fringe might have put to bed—at least for a while—one of our favorite bits of suspect science: the memory tank. Agent Olivia Dunham had some of her former partner John Scott's memories transferred into her own mind, and in previous episodes she's gone back in the tank to seek more answers from him. This happens again in "The Transformation," but at the conclusion Walter Bishop says her mind has expelled the last of Scott and her brainwaves are back to normal. So hopefully Dunham won't have to stick electrodes to her forehead and get back in the water anytime soon.

Pennsylvania State University plans to build a higher-security disease research laboratory, the Centre Daily Times reported Saturday. The 15,000-square-foot, Biosafety Level 3 facility would dedicate roughly one-third of its space to laboratory research potentially involving agricultural diseases, including a melioidosis-causing agent that terrorists could tap as a biological weapon, said Mary Kennett, head of the university's Animal Resource Program. Scientists at the laboratory would probably study "exotic diseases" that could fuel an agricultural terrorist attack, but the site's research focus would be determined by the interests of its researchers and federal funders, Kennett said. Biosafety level 3 labs are “for work with infectious agents which may cause serious or potentially lethal diseases” from exposure by inhalation, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Health and Safety. The labs are designed so that exhaust air isn’t recirculated and work involving aerosols or splatter is in “a biological safety cabinet.”

As Pfizer swallowed Wyeth and Bank of America started belching up Merrill Lynch this week, you just might have missed the heartburn-inducing headline of the year: heavy metal has been found in our daily bread.

According to a report in Environmental Health by a former FDA scientist and whistleblower, the heavy metal mercury has found its way into your kitchen cupboards, your fridge, your mouths and your bellies. Mercury is "a potent neurological toxin" removed from vaccines due to concerns that it "is a danger to unborn children whose developing brains can be damaged if they are exposed to low dose micrograms exposures in the womb."

Talk about a "fly in your soup" kind of news!

You just might be thinking, "How in the world did mercury get into our food supply?"

Funny you should ask. According to the must-read report in Environmental Health, Mercury in Measured Concentrations in Food Products by Renee Dufault's team, mercury is used in thousands of food ingredients such as citric acid, sodium benzoate and high fructose corn syrup.

Little did we know!

According to the report, the EPA learned this in 2003 when it reported that "tons of mercury were missing." Shortly thereafter, an employee at the EPA tipped off someone at the FDA to investigate a corporation called "Vulcan Chemicals." The FDA's Environmental Health Officer (glad to know we have one) then decided to conduct an investigation of Vulcan Chemical's "mercury balance sheet" in an attempt to locate the missing neurological toxin.

Did John Grisham write this?! You couldn't make this stuff up!

Not only did they locate the missing neurological toxin (phew!), but Dufault's team learned that "mercury grade caustic soda and hydrochloric acid are primarily used by the high fructose corn syrup industry" to "stabilize food products and enhance product shelf life."

"Stabilize food products and enhance product shelf life"? Translation: mercury is good for business.

What about those commercials running on TV telling us that high fructose corn syrup is "natural"?

In case you missed them, "back in June, the Corn Refiners Association embarked on what the Wall Street Journal described as an 18-month, $20-30 million campaign to "rehabilitate the reputation of the longtime sweetener." The blitz includes full-page ads in more than a dozen newspapers and prime-time television spots."

I wonder if those actors read Dufault's report, which states that several chemicals are required to make HFCS, including caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, alha-amylase, gluco-amylase, isomerase, filter aid, powdered carbon, calcium chloride, and magnesium sulfate?

Heaven help us all.

Given the remarkable influence that the corn industry has on everything from bailouts, to ethanol policy, to lobbying efforts that were set in place in the 1970s with the informal public-private partnership between grain-processing giant Archer Daniels Midland and the federal government, I sure hope that Obama isn't too distracted by economic bailouts or the fact that Illinois-based ADM is the "supermarket to the world" with 2008 revenues of $70 billion to address this issue.

And even if he is distracted or only sees the inevitable industry-funded response, I hope that Michelle will give him one of those discerning looks, then cue Malia to load her dad's iPod with some heavy metal and have Sasha belt out "Pour Some Sugar On Me!" (Editor's Note: There has already been an industry response.)

Maybe it's time that "we put aside childish things" and get this "natural" sweetener out of our food supply like other developed countries have. Tell us what you think in the comments?!

If you are inclined to do something, log on to to Food Democracy Now and give Obama the heads up!

(I'm feeling awake)
By - Lee Rogers Source: www.roguegovernment.com

A new bill proposed in the U.S. House of Representatives would require the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a program in the maritime environment for the mobile biometric identification of suspected individuals including terrorists. The federal government has been using the excuse of fighting terrorists to incrementally expand the usage of biometric identification for quite awhile now, and this is just another step into expanding the adoption of this technology. It is not a stretch to believe that if something like this is implemented for the purposes of fighting terrorists out in the oceans, that eventually it would be utilized inside the United States for domestic policing purposes. After all, former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff thought it would be a great idea to setup an internal checkpoint within the state of Vermont to search for drug dealers and terrorists. Not to mention they’ve already setup the US-VISIT program which mandates that many non-U.S. citizens visiting the United States submit to biometric identification in order to gain entry.

Below is the entire text of HR 752 which would require the Department of Homeland Security to expand their biometric identification program.

To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a program in the maritime environment for the mobile biometric identification of suspected individuals, including terrorists, to enhance border security.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. MARITIME BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION.

(a) In General- Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security, acting through the Commandant of the Coast Guard, shall conduct, in the maritime environment, a program for the mobile biometric identification of suspected individuals, including terrorists, to enhance border security and for other purposes.

(b) Requirements- The Secretary shall ensure the program described in subsection (a) is coordinated with other biometric identification programs within the Department of Homeland Security.

(c) Cost Analysis- Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Appropriations and Homeland Security of the House of Representatives and the Committees on Appropriations and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate an analysis of the cost of expanding the Coast Guard’s biometric identification capabilities for use by the Coast Guard’s Deployable Operations Group, cutters, stations, and other deployable maritime teams considered appropriate by the Secretary, and any other appropriate Department of Homeland Security maritime vessels and units. The analysis may include a tiered plan for the deployment of the program described in subsection (a) that gives priority to vessels and units more likely to encounter individuals suspected of making unlawful border crossings through the maritime environment.

(d) Definition- For the purposes of this section, the term ‘biometric identification’ means the use of fingerprint and digital photography images.

There is no question that the Department of Homeland Security is attempting to put as much biometric information from people into computer databases. This bill would expand their ability to obtain additional biometric information. Most people won’t object to this since it the excuse to implement this expansion has to do with border security. None the less, it is clear that this is yet another case of the federal government attempting to utilize more and more of this technology that could ultimately be used to enslave humanity using the phony terror war hoax as the pretext.

Charlie Brown

Grieving owner calls for an end to mandatory microchipping in Los Angeles.

A fluffy bundle of life, love, and enthusiasm named Charlie Brown was laid to rest last week, the victim of a microchip implant gone horribly wrong. The long-haired, purebred Chihuahua bled to death in the arms of his distraught owners, Lori and Ed Ginsberg of Agua Dulce, California, just hours after undergoing the controversial chipping procedure.

"I wasn't in favor of getting Charlie chipped, but it was the law," said Lori Ginsberg, citing a Los Angeles county ordinance that requires all dog owners to chip their dogs once they reach four months of age. Dog owners who refuse to comply face a $250 fine for the first offense and up to six months in jail for continued non-compliance. "This technology is supposedly so great unt il it's your animal that dies," she said. "I can't believe Charlie is gone. I'm just beside myself."

Dr. Reid Loken, the board certified veterinarian who performed the chipping, confirmed on Friday that Charlie died from blood loss associated with the microchip. He cited "an extreme amount of bleeding" from the "little hole in the skin where the [microchip implant] needle went in" as the cause of death. He said he was both saddened and puzzled by Charlie's death.

"I just don't know what happened to him. We put the chip in the back in the shoulder blades, the standard place where we put them, and there really aren't any major blood vessels in that area," he said. "I don't think it went in too deep; it was a pretty routine chipping."

Dr. Loken suspected the needle may have nicked the muscle around the scapula, causing blood to ooze from the muscle. However, his efforts to stem the bleeding with pressure bandages were unsuccessful. The bleeding could not be attri b uted to a congenital clo tting problem, he said, since Charlie had undergone a neutering and tooth extraction without incident just weeks before.

Charlie's owners were devastated by the loss. "Charlie loved to play and cuddle. He brought so much joy and life to our home," said Lori. "We loved him and took such good care of him. He meant everything to us."

The Ginsbergs were quick to absolve Dr. Loken of responsibility for Charlie's death. "He's a great vet and this was not his fault. The real blame is with the people who forced us to implant our dog against our better judgment," they said.

The Ginsbergs plan to petition the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to repeal the mandatory chipping law, and have sought the help of prominent consumer privacy advocate Dr. Katherine Albrecht. Albrecht is a Harvard-trained researcher who has authored a definitive academic paper citing literature that links microchips with cancer in dogs as well as laboratory animals . She has also authored an exhaustive, 47-page FAQ on microchip implants.

Albrecht cites other adverse reactions stemming from microchips in the past. In one case, a struggling kitten died instantly when a microchip was accidentally injected into its brain stem. In another, a cat was paralyzed when an implant entered its spinal column. The implants have been widely reported to migrate within animals' bodies, and can cause abscesses and infection. In at least two documented cases, dogs have developed cancerous tumors surrounding or adjacent to microchip implants.

"Tragedies like what happened to Charlie Brown are probably more common than we like to think," said Albrecht. "But it takes courageous people like the Ginsbergs to come forward and talk about it."

Albrecht and the Ginsbergs are calling for a repeal of all mandatory animal chipping laws nationwide, and for the creation of a national registry to document adverse reactions from the chipping procedure.

"It's horrible to live in a country where your choices are being take away and you don't get to make decisions about your family and your life anymore," said Lori Ginsberg. "Politicians should not take away my right to do what I thought was best for my pet."

Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed. In an interview Tuesday with Politico, Cheney unyieldingly defended the Bush administration’s support for the Guantanamo Bay prison and coercive interrogation of terrorism suspects. And he asserted that President Obama will either backtrack on his stated intentions to end those policies or put the county at risk in ways more severe than most Americans—and, he charged, many members of Obama’s own team—understand. “When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,” Cheney said. Protecting the country’s security is “a tough, mean, dirty, nasty business,” he said. “These are evil people. And we’re not going to win this fight by turning the other cheek.”

Take few minutes and watch this video with John Stossel
It is very good and talks about why some of the things we have been discussing should be legal even if we don't like that stuff personally.

No one, including Stossel, addresses the issue of who pays up front or later. Whatever happened to the responsibility side of the equation. You want to do "whatever" ? Fine, but don't ask me to help you do it and don't infringe on my property as you do it or for the damage control when you are done doin'.
Reread Skousen- 5000 year Leap. And Richard Maybury on the Two over-arching Laws of Nature. Do as you have agreed and Don't infringe on the property of others. This is the sum of the responsibility side of liberty. I not convinced any of you have considered these in your musings. Legal mandates preclude the opportunity to fail. Conversely, Irresponsible exercise of liberty without associated penalty for bad actions is mere bondage to repeat the act again inflicting additional encroachment on the property of others.
The greatest value to liberty is the freedom to fail. That truism follows logically but only if the two laws of nature are followed by all persons.

Jim Martindale

The terrorists' letter arrived at the Mayor of Los Angeles's office on November 30, 1989. A group calling itself “the Breeders” claimed to have released the Mediterranean fruit fly in Los Angeles and Orange counties, and threatened to expand their attack to the San Joaquin Valley, an important centre of Californian agriculture. With perverse logic, they said that unless the Government stopped using pesticides they would assure a cataclysmic infestation that would lead to the quarantining of California produce, costing 132,000 jobs and $13.4 billion in lost trade. The infestation was real enough. It was ended by heavy spraying. It is still not known if ecoterrorists were behind it, but the panic it engendered shows that “the Breeders” were flirting with a powerful weapon. The history and future of insects as weapons are explored in my new book, Six-Legged Soldiers. As an entomologist, I was initially interested in how human beings have conscripted insects and twisted science for use in war, terrorism and torture. It soon became apparent that the weaponisation of insects was not some quirky military footnote but a recurring theme in human strife, and quite possibly the next chapter in modern conflicts. Insects are one of the cheapest and most destructive weapons available to terrorists today, and one of the most widely ignored: they are easy to sneak across borders, reproduce quickly and can spread disease and destroy crops with devastating speed.

Obama Picks Porn Lawyer for #2 at Justice
http://www.fidelis.org/press.aspx?pid=45

CHICAGO – President Obama has made a major mistake and put America’s families at
risk
by selecting David Ogden to become Deputy Attorney General, says Fidelis, a
pro-family organization.

“David Ogden is a hired gun from Playboy and ACLU. He can’t run from his long
record of opposing common sense laws protecting families, women, and children.
The United States Senate has a responsibility to the American people to insure
that Mr. Ogden’s full record is fully reviewed before any vote on his
nomination” said Brian Burch, President of Fidelis.

“Ogden’s record is nothing short of obscene. He has represented Playboy
Enterprises
in multiple cases, Penthouse Magazine, the ACLU, and the largest
distributor of hard-core pornography videos. He has opposed filters on library
computers protecting children from Internet smut, and successfully defended the
right of pornographers to produce material with underage children.”

“David Ogden has collected checks from Playboy and Penthouse to fight reasonable
protections for parents and children from pornography. Ogden even sued the
federal government in an attempt to publish Braille versions of Playboy magazine
– at taxpayer expense, of course,” said Burch.

As a lawyer in private practice, Ogden has argued for an unlimited abortion
license, gays in the military, and has urged courts to treat traditional
definitions of marriage as a social prejudice.

“A vast majority of Americans support parental notification before a minor’s
abortion and protecting kids from Internet pornography in our libraries,”
continued Burch. “Yet David Ogden has fought tooth and nail against these
common sense laws protecting our children from harm. At a time when America’s
families are under increasing assault, Mr. Ogden is a dangerous choice for a
position whose responsibilities include the enforcement of our nation’s laws. “
